Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of Shop and Suppliers (together, the "Service"), provided by Mecano ("Mecano", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. Who can use the Service

You must be an authorized representative of the business signing up, and at least 18 years old. Shop and Suppliers are currently offered to auto-repair shops and parts wholesalers in Ontario, Canada.

2. Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account, including actions taken by staff you invite.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Shop is billed on a published, month-to-month plan; there are no long-term contracts and no per-user seat fees. Prices are shown in USD by default, with CAD billing available. Suppliers' pricing will be confirmed directly with design-partner shops during early access. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops the next billing cycle and doesn't refund the current one, except where required by law.

4. Your data

You own the business and customer data you enter into the Service. We don't sell it, and we only use it to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you close your account, you can request an export of your data before deletion.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to send unlawful, fraudulent, or unsolicited communications to your customers.
• Attempt to access another shop's or supplier's data, or to circumvent account or tenant isolation.
• Reverse-engineer, resell, or white-label the Service without our written agreement.
• Use the Service in a way that disrupts its operation for other customers.

6. AI features

Shop and Suppliers include AI-assisted features, such as an assistant that can answer questions or take actions you or your staff request, and a voice agent that can answer calls on your behalf. These features operate within permissions and data access controlled by our systems, not by the AI itself; you remain responsible for reviewing AI-assisted actions that affect your customers or your business.

7. Third-party services

The Service uses third-party providers for payments, messaging, and hosting. Your use of those integrations may also be subject to that provider's own terms.

8. Service availability

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, and we'll aim to give notice for anything that affects availability for an extended period.

9. Early access (Suppliers)

Suppliers is offered as early access software. Features may change, and some functionality described on this site may not yet be generally available. Early access participants may receive terms specific to their pilot agreement, which take precedence over this section where they conflict.

10. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, Mecano isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost revenue or lost data, beyond amounts paid to Mecano in the preceding three months.

11. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these terms, including non-payment or a violation of the acceptable-use section above.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

13. Changes to these terms

We'll update the date at the top of this page when these terms change, and post material changes here before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
